Evening Housekeeping

Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the YMCA facility, upholding a standard of hygiene and safety and creating a positive environment for members. Current availability 2:00pm-7:00pm Tuesday-Friday and 9:00am-2:00pm on Saturday. Requirements: Must be 17 years or older, have the ability to work independently and complete tasks timely, must work a minimum of three shifts per week.

LIFEGUARD

Lifeguards at the Hopkins County Family YMCA create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

  • Prefer lifeguards 18 years of age and older; minimum age of 16
  • Certifications: YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent (must include CPR/AED, First Aid)
  • Child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
  • Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
  • Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards

Flag Football Officials

Flag Football officials are responsible for rule enforcement, time keeping, and maintaining safety of players, coaches and spectators during flag football games. Flag Football officials must be 15 years of age or older, have a basic understanding of flag football rules, and attend a ref clinic prior the start of season.

Health Living Advocate

Responsible for Healthy Living Advocates will provide extraordinary service and information to current and prospective members of the YMCA. Responsible for conducting new member orientation and equipment tutorials as well as connecting members to programs, trainers and classes that could help them reach their goals. They are responsible for the activity, cleanliness and organization in the cardio and weight rooms and provides simple administrative support, if needed. Available shifts Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00am-2:00pm and Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-9:00pm

YOUTH BASKETBALL OFFICIALS

Youth Basketball Officials are responsible for rule enforcement, time keeping and maintaining safety of players, coaches and spectators during basketball games. Basketball officials must be 13 years of age or older, have a basic understanding of basketball rules, and attend a ref clinic prior to the start of the season.

PRESCHOOL STAFF

Preschool Staff will see that age-appropriate activities are planned and implemented in all aspects of the program. Duties include working with staff to plan and implement activities and execute the daily schedule and lesson plans. Be responsible for the direct supervision of the appropriate children and their activities, and working with other staff to provide a program and atmosphere that fosters children’s’ social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth. Must be 18 years or older.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM STAFF

School Age Program Staff will be responsible for delivering and ensuring program satisfaction through the implementation and daily supervision of before and/or after school activities, school out days, and holiday programming. Must be 21 years or older.
